J.PRESS is a brand representing the ivy look that started in New Haven, Connecticut in 1902.
JACOBY PRESS, the founder of the brand, has grown the brand that started as a Yale campus shop into a brand that symbolizes ivy look.
Even after his death, his sons and grandchildren keep the business thriving.
However, in the 1970s, a large influx of foreigners due to Japan's hosting of the Tokyo Olympics, the economic boom that began with the post-war generation, the baby boomers,
And at the same time as the timely Ametora craze began to blow, the Japanese began to have a craving for original American brands.
As a result, JPress is so successful that it has over 100 branches in Japan.
As such, the brand has remained a symbol of the American ivy look for over 119 years and is loved by many.
